Asheville in Common


 Our city, like many around the country, is dealing with major crises. We face unaffordable rents, skyrocketing land prices, stagnating wages, gentrification, a punishing and ever expanding injustice system, and battles over transparency. Our political culture has had at best ineffective solutions to these problems when they recognize them at all. Asheville is booming and yet our communities and citizens are struggling. With this situation in mind, we propose the following program.
